The award winning play centre, party venue and coffee shop opened in 2012 and has since become South Wales’ favourite play centre. Not only does The Eden Centre have fantastic facilities to keep children entertained, we pride ourselves on the safety and the cleanliness of the centre.
Additional to the play centre, in 2014 the Eden Education Centre opened. This is a purpose built facility which is a LEGO Education Innovation Studio. We deliver workshops for schools and educational networks promoting STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) all through the medium of LEGO. The Education centre is also an excellent business and conference venue. Please see the Eden Education website for more information.

The event today was very special! Not only did we get the chance to see the children participate in such an amazing event, the friendly and professional staff over at the Eden Centre also gave us a glimpse into the future..
The Nissan Leaf – This vehicle is truly ground breaking and comes sporting some unique features you need to see!
To start with, the car can drive without the assistance of a human. A truly self-driving machine with the latest and greatest features would summarise this car perfectly.
In addition to this, Nissan and the Government have been working together to create a new scheme to help fund customers who are interested in getting a power point at their home. This will help drive more interest and sales as the Power points required will be more accessible for customers.
To top it all off, it’s not a bad looking car either! What do you think?
Glenside Commercials has sponsored this organisation and will continue to support such a great event. We not only sponsored the event, we got involved too! Our Marketing Executive, Craig Owens, helped document the event with Photography and Denise Lovering helped bring the event to life through various sponsorship programs and events.
Denise Lovering, who has been involved with many organisations in the past, took the time to deliver a well-informed speech regarding the success and enthusiasm behind the project. In addition to this, Denise also touched on the subject of future projects and how Glenside Commercials will always be supporting them.

That’s great but what was the challenge?
THE BRIEF – To design and create a functional working vehicle with the equipment provided. (Lego) To evaluate and reform the design where needed and finally to present the project as a group, to the audience. (PowerPoint)
Lewis Girls School, based in Bedwas, came up with some exciting concepts for the project… and we were lucky enough to witness it.
Here are some snaps of the Children creating their project.
This shot showcases the students testing their vehicle for Aerodynamics!
This shot showcases the students and Teachers working together on a solution for better speed.
Speed testing on the track, it got all the way to the end... honest!
The final car in all it's glory, not bad!
Overall the event was a great success and continues to add value to our community. We got a valuable insight into future events and also got the chance to see Lewis Girls School bring home 3rd place!
WELL DONE to all of you!
